Ogimi Village
In Okinawa, there is a Blue Zone of the world. Blue Zones are where humans live the longest. Ogimi Village, also known as the Village of Longevity, is in the northern part of Okinawa and there you will find the highest percentage of humans living to 100+ and 110+ years old and a very low occurrence of diseases commonly found around the world and especially in the Western World.

Upon reading about Ogimi Village, this fruit stood out to me. I was learning how all these different things - being in a community, doing things you love each day, gardening - are all part of the Ogimi culture, but so is the consumption of this little lime like fruit. They drink it, cook with it, season meals with it - pretty much consume it in a multitude of ways every day.
